The stoppage at the small shanty town of Tarapur was an interesting spight with scores of manual laboroers from the adjoining state of Madhya Pradesh traveling to Saurashtra for temporary seasonal work. How do they travel? jampacked with their motorcycles in jeeps and using every inch of space! Truly incredible Indians!!!







Day 1 June 7th, 2024: The rrescue centre at Devaliya

 This is my 3rd visit to Gir after 12 years and Im super excitied to be back in this interesting one of a kind Lion Sanctuary and National Park that  is famous as the last home of the Asiatic Lion Panthera leo persica. . As of a recent census in 2025, the numbers have increased to over 900. However, most of them have made their territory outside the safe havens of the sanctuary and are actually carving our new territory.
